We all know about the amazing microfiber towels that can easily soak up immense amounts of water. Kirby has several we rotate for his weekly baths. But what about those times he has wet paws, or worse, wet muddy paws? Like every winter and spring.
Introducing Luv & Emma's Dry Pets towel which is the same but different. It's the same microfiber. It comes with a cute paw print pattern. It's made to last. The difference is in the details - these have a sewn in stretchable slit for hanging which becomes a big deal when you realize it can save a ton on paper towels. The Dry Pets towel ($17.95) measures 21 X 17 inches with one stretchy slit to hang on a door while the Dry Pets Plus towel ($20.95) measures 36 x 23 inches with two stretchy slits. They can hold up to 16 to 36 ounces of water and dry quickly.
Usually I only have to squeeze Kirby's paws to remove the excess water. I can't tell you how many times I have to wash his paws in the kitchen sink when he comes inside from the back yard. He wears a raincoat on rainy days and has come in the door muddy from his belly down to his paws. He refuses to wear boots and we've had that conversation about avoiding the wet, muddy areas which he seems to forget or ignore. Something about squirrels.
I can tell him to wait at the back door while I run grab a towel from the bathroom. Most times I would just grab a kitchen towel or some paper towels which are handy but still messy. With fosters I have to be quick or it's too late.
Another consideration for pet pawrents is coming in from walking your dog, especially if you live in areas with snow and ice where table salt, or other types of chloride products, are used. Wearing dog boots is best but at the very least you need to wipe off the salt they can ingest from licking their paws.
Kirby's bells to ring when he wants outside hangs on the back door knob so my Luv & Emma's Dry Pets towel hangs on a kitchen cabinet door knob within easy reach of the backdoor. Using both slits keeps it from touching the floor. I'm very happy they are machine washable and made in the U.S.A.
