Bark Beer

St. Paddy's Day is fast approaching so we decided a green beer, for dogs of course, was in order to help celebrate the holiday. This is probably the simplest ever with just two ingredients but it does take a little time to "brew".  Use chicken stock for a light beer or bone broth for a dark beer.

It can be poured in a bowl for a cool or warm drink, poured over dry kibble at meal time, or frozen for a hot day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons frozen spinach, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Pour the chicken stock into a pint size mason jar.
  2. Chop up the spinach and add to the jar. The finer you chop it, the more green color. Let sit in the refrigerator for roughly twenty four hours, shaking it now and then.
  3. Strain the spinach and pour into a drinking bottle.

This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week and frozen for up to three months.
