A New Look For A New Direction

My dear readers,

I started this blog back in 2010. It was fun, I had a lot to say, and I loved sharing Kirby with everyone. I had other pet bloggers I interacted with whose dogs and voices I felt were kindred spirits. Many of them are gone now having left blogging. Slowly I've been pulling away myself yet something keeps me moving forward hanging on by a thread.

Hence, I've made some changes which are better for me and, hopefully, still helpful to you, my readers. I'll still do reviews, giveaways and dabble in a little DIY since those are fun but I have decided I'm not going to blog the way I used to blog.  In the world of blogging, pet blogging is a niche of which I've now moved into a micro niche.

I find my fire and passion is studying and learning everything I can about canine nutrition in order to create recipes for healthy and tasty dog treats and dog food.  So I'm following that passion. I thought about changing the name of my blog to "The Canine Chef Cookbook" and even purchased the domain but I just can't let go of "Kirby the Dorkie".  He is, afterall, my muse and chief taste tester! My little heart dog is the very reason I started blogging to begin with so he gets to feature "The Canine Chef Cookbook" which is now the basis of this site. (I'm thinking "Kirby the Dorkie the Canine Chef" is a bit too long and "Kirby the Canine Chef" just isn't enough).

I'm sure I'll share some Kirby stories here but mostly he can be found on his Facebook Page

The more I learn, the more I hope to share. The more I create, the more I hope to share. So look around, test things out, and see what you think of the changes.  Please offer up any suggestions or requests that can help you better navigate the site, help you get into the kitchen, and help you start, or keep, baking for your pups.

Wags,

Debby & Kirby the Dorkie
