Oh my God I can finally see the light at the end! When I decided to upgrade from Squarespace 5 to Squarespace 6 I had no idea how time consuming it would become. I have a day job that pays the bills so it took many nights and weekends as I moved code, rewrote code and learned the ropes of 6. It's a lot like 5 but different if that makes any sense. Was it worth it? After all the cussing, crying and frustrations, I can say "oh yes". I love the new look and having the capabilities available do do even more. I feel like Kirby the Dorkie has transcended from a blog to an online magazine. More like a book really.
I loved creating the old blog which had begun to look a little shabby and outdated. I had attempted to do an upgrade last year but gave up since I just didn't have the time to devote to it. This time I persevered, and like the phoenix, a new Kirbythedorkie.com emerged.
With the Kirbster front and center, I feel revived, refreshed, and ready to take my sweet muse to the next level. I realize I am biased but how can anyone not love this adorkable little boy? He is a heaven sent angel who inspires me every day to become the person he already thinks I am.
We have been AWOL for a few weeks now but I hope our regular readers have stuck around and new readers discover us because we have so many exciting things planned to make Kirby the Dorkie a fun, informative place to be!
Everything here is a work in progress with still much to do like refining the pages, fixing broken links, and making sure you have an overall enjoyable visit. Tell me what you love, what you hate, and where we need improvement.
A huge shout out to the Squarespace techs who guided me in the right direction every time I had a question or problem. Your prompt responses kept me sane in the midst of this insanity inducing project. Thank you, I am so happy and proud to be a customer!
