Super Dog Sunday 2012

Super Dog Sunday is a fun football themed photo contest and blog hop to coincide with the Super Bowl.  It's an annual event co-hosted by All Things Dog and DogTipper to help raise money and awareness for which spotlights shelter or rescue dogs and cats for adoption.

Everyone knows today is the Super Bowl - a football game between the two top professional teams which this year are the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Doug loves football and know the teams, players, etc. Me? Not so much!  I do enjoy watching the amazing commercials and the half time show which is spotlighting Madonna this year!

What we really love to watch is the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series which runs from February through November. I am a huge fan of Tony Stewart aka Smoke who drove the Home Depot #20 to two championship titles (2002, 2005) and last year won the 2011 Champion Title driving the Home Office #14. Go Smoke!!!

Kirby really does watch parts of the races.  I don't know if its the bright colors or the clarity of the cars racing around the tv screen but it does catch his attention quite often during the races.  Kirby is great at posing for pictures with or without props but I wanted to be a little more creative so we decided to take a rather "dorkie" approach to our photo entry.  It may not be the kind of picture they are looking for but that's ok because it was really fun to create!  If you like my picture then please click on the LIKE button under it (#46) in the Linky List at the bottom of this post.

The Petfinder Foundation helps to assure that no pet is euthanized for lack of a home and all donations to Petfinder Foundation are tax deductible. In fact our fosters are advertized on PetFinder to garner applications for adoption before traveling north to the SPCA of Westchester, a no-kill shelter in New York.  Here is the promotion for our current little foster guy, Fritz
