Christmas has become so commercialized with Santa Claus, decorations, stockings hung and presents under the tree. It's a time of cheer and good will with family gatherings and parties. In all this hustle and bustle we need to stop and remember that Christmas is the glorious birthday of the man who overcame death to ascend to Heaven where He sits in His rightful place beside our heavenly Father. It is His ultimate sacrifice that gives us salvation and an eternal life.
This is what happened...
"And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; for there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7
"For is born unto you this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11
This is why it happened...
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." Luke 3:16, 17
Merry CHRISTmas and God Bless you all!
